Can I Assemble the Pergola Myself?

Absolutely! The pergola is designed for easy self-assembly, with detailed instructions included. Depending on the model size, assembly typically takes between 1 to 5 hours. Having two extra pairs of hands and a few basic tools will make the process smoother. Rest assured, assembling the pergola yourself will not affect the 5-year frame warranty or the 2-year warranty on the screens.

How Weatherproof is the Pergola Roof?

The pergola roof is highly weatherproof when the louvres are fully closed, effectively protecting you from the elements. Rainwater is directed through an integrated gutter system and drains internally through the legs. In extreme weather conditions with very heavy rain, there may be slight water seepage, similar to what might happen with standard home gutters.

How Resistant is the Pergola to Wind and Storms?

Our pergolas are built to withstand windy conditions. Although they are semi-permanent structures, securely anchored to the surface, they can handle significant weather. To prevent wind damage during storms, it’s advisable to leave the louvres slightly open to let wind pass through safely.

What is the Difference Between the Rota and Maranza Pergolas?

The Rota Pergola stands 20 cm taller than the Maranza, making it especially suitable for installation above bifold doors. The Rota’s louvres open vertically along the shorter side, offering a seamless, unified roof system. On the other hand, the Maranza may feature multiple roof sections, depending on the size, which allows for flexible operation of the louvres—an ideal feature for south-facing gardens.

On What Surfaces Can the Pergola Be Installed?

Our pergolas can be installed on any flat, solid surface, provided that the area has the correct dimensions. Our professional installation team will ensure the pergola is securely and properly fitted.

Can the Pergola Be Installed on a Sloped Surface?

Yes, pergolas with aluminum louvred roofs can adapt to slightly sloped surfaces (up to a max 1:80 fall) to ensure proper rainwater drainage. If your surface has a steeper slope, additional fittings might be needed, which won’t impact your warranty. Our team can adjust the pergola’s legs using spacers to ensure a level installation.

Does the Pergola Require Any Maintenance?

The pergola requires very little maintenance. The aluminum frame can be easily cleaned with standard household cleaning products or a jet wash. The gutter system can also be cleared using a jet wash, keeping everything in top condition with minimal effort.

Can the Pergola Be Dismantled and Reassembled?

Yes, the pergola is designed with flexibility in mind, allowing it to be dismantled and reassembled as needed.

Is It Possible to Attach the Pergola to a Building?
